Our Policies for Sports & Adventure Travellers

Holiday or Business TravellersPeople travelling overseas, requiring cover for specific sports and activities. Could be short or long term or Annual Multi Trip, if frequent short trips are undertaken in a year. We would recommend Navigator policies for these travellers, as most sports and activities can be covered, though supplements may be payable for the more hazardous pursuits. Voyager policies cover a few sports and activities, but not for the more adventurous.

Annual Multi Trip

If you need cover for numerous short holidays or business trips in a 12 month period, this is the one for you. Special deals for Couples and Families. Not suitable for extended periods overseas, when Long stay cover is required.

Long Stay Single Trip

If you intend leaving the country for an extended period, you need Long Stay cover. This policy will cover you for an individual trip or anything from 2 to 18 months duration. An ideal policy for Gap years, extended backpacking, career breaks, volunteering, studying or working holidays abroad. If your trip is for less than 2 months, just use the Short Stay Single Trip policy.

Short Stay Single Trip

Use this policy to cover a single holiday or business trip of short duration (typically up to two months). Special rates for families, with accompanied kids going free.

Sports and adventure travellers are often the high risk clients for travel insurance companies as they are the ones throwing themselves off cliffs, skiing down mountains or swimming deep underwater. Obviously the price for a travel insurance policy that covers these kinds of high risk activities is much higher than one for people going on beach holidays. However, at Navigator we want to make travel insurance affordable and feasible for every kind of traveller, no matter how risky their trip may be.

The first thing you need to establish is how long your trip will be and if you plan on going on multiple trips in a year. Choose from our three main policies:

Once you have worked out the duration and amount of trips you plan on going on you can start looking into the details of which activities you will be taking part in. Our policies range from Silver to Gold Action Plus and cover a varying amount of extreme sports and adventure activities. If you’ll be taking part in American Football, Canyoning or Solo Sky Diving then you’ll need to get the Gold Action Plus policy. However, if you’ll only be involved in a single bungee jump, jet skiing or safari trekking then the Silver policy will cover everything you need. And it’s not only these two extremes, we offer Gold Action and Gold Leisure policies too which will encompass the activities in the middle like White Water Rafting and Scuba Diving so you’re only paying for exactly the activities you will be doing.

Whatever cover you decide on we are here to help and answer your queries. If you need more assistance on which sport or adventure policy is right for you then contact is via email or on 0161 973 6465.
